Ursula K. LeGuinn was born in 1929, in Berkley, California. Through her education at Columbia University she earend a Master of Arts. Her work as a writer in the mid-late 20th century has garnered much praise. She was known for her numerous works in science fiction and fantasy, which won her hugo awards for novels and short stories throughout the 1970’s.
