Emily Westerman

Emily Westerman is majoring in English with an emphasis on Creative writing. After a tough week of coursework, she loves to unwind outside with her two little boys or in bed with a good book. Her favorite academic subject besides literature is psychology as she always had an interest in how the mind works. Some books she’s been loving is Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros and A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Aidan Saiz

Aidan Saiz is a Liberal Arts major, looking to transfer to get a degree in education. After a long week of work, Aidan likes to spend time with family and play video games with friends. Aidan’s favorite academic subjects outside of writing would be psychology and education. A comic he would recommend is the current comic book run of Ultimate Spider-Man. A favorite book he is reading would be Simone de Beauvoir’s The Second Sex.

Kvothe Harris

Kvothe Harris is majoring in English with an emphasis on Creative Writing. When it’s time to relax after a week of coursework, he usually ends up watching video essays on YouTube. Outside of his major, his favorite academic subject is linguistics, and he has a fondness for constructed languages. A couple of books that live rent-free for him are Jawbone by Mónica Ojeda and Just Like Mother by Anne Heltzel.

Gracie Christensen

Gracie is majoring in secondary education with an emphasis in English to become a high school English teacher. After a long week of school, she likes to binge-watch her current favorite TV show or play card games with her friends. Outside of her education or English classes, Gracie enjoys classes based on psychology and learning about the human mind. The book that she is currently reading is A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara, and a book she recommends is The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde, one of her all-time favorite classic books.

Kenton Piper-Ruth

Kenton Piper-Ruth is majoring in English and likes to read about writing, write about reading, writing about read, and read writing abouting. To relax Kenton often stays up late contemplating his mortality. Kenton’s favorite academic subject is of course about-read-writing and is currently reading the New York Times best-seller On Writing by Rhede Wright. Kenton can and will take this seriously if need be.
