1 About the Authors

mina eggleston

Currently studying at the College of Western Idaho, Mina is working on an English degree with an emphasis in Creative Writing and plans on transferring to Boise State University to complete her bachelor’s. She hopes to work as an editor and write fiction books on the side, utilizing the skills she has learned in writing and analyzing literature.

harlan gauthier

Harlan is a student at CWI, currently getting his associate’s in English with a Creative Writing emphasis. He is a fiction writer with a main focus on horror. Outside of writing, he works as a bookseller and receiver, reads every book he can get his hands on, and spends most of his time in the outdoors.

sam hazard

Sam is a student at CWI, currently completing his associate’s in English with an emphasis on writing. Outside of English, he is also interested in studying history and various forms of political theory. In his free time, he likes to read a wide variety of books, listen to music, and travel to new places.

Rye Johnson

Rye is currently a student at the College of Western Idaho, working on their associate’s in English with a focus on literature. During their studies, they won third place in the Critical Analysis category for CWI’s 2024 President’s Writing Award. Outside of academia, Rye likes to read, watch films, listen to music, and bike around the Treasure Valley area.

madison mckinney

Madison McKinney is currently working towards her degree in English Literature at the College of Western Idaho. She plans to transfer to Boise State to earn her master’s degree and hopes to teach the minds of the next generation. Taking Dr. Long’s Literary Analysis class helped her better understand the different aspects of analyzing literature and she is excited to use these skills in her own writing.
